Mini Art Journal

This is a new mini art journal that I made using some of the paper fabric (see earlier recent post) for the cover. The inside cover is fabric, and there is batting in the middle to make it like a little quilt. The inside pages were all hand painted and/ or stamped. This is a small size to carry in your purse to jot down little inspirations. It is about 3.5 x 5 inches folded. I also made the polymer clay button that I used for the closure. These are so happy and fun to make. I am working on several to have for sale at an Art Quilt Exhibit opening night, where several artists will be participating in a Mercado, and to list in my Etsy shop.

Paper Fabric Bookmarks

I have been working on making several sheets of paper fabric to turn into bookmarks for a swap that I am participating in on the Mixed Media Art Friends group. This is my first swap in months--since I have been otherwise distracted recently--so it felt good to get my hands dirty again! Kelli Perkins has been doing a workshop through the group based on her wonderful Stitch Alchemy book, and is also hosting the swap.
